  • DeadlineStudy Details:

    MSc/PgDip/PgCert: full-time, part-time

Course Description

Over the last decade or so the UK agri-food industry has seen, and successfully responded to, major changes in consumers’ lifestyle, health and eating habits. Continued expansion of the food and drink sector has presented the industry with challenges both in meeting the increased demand for high quality, nutritionally sound, convenience products and in finding highly trained graduates with understanding of the emerging issues in food science, nutrition and health.

The Food Science and Nutrition programme aims to provide students with a broad range of both fundamental principles and innovative practices in the subject areas, so they may be able to apply their knowledge proficiently in the food and health sectors and in related industries.

Entry Requirements

For MSc entry, candidates must have a First or Second Class Honours Degree in a suitable science or engineering subject (for example, Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering). For Diploma entry, candidates must hold a degree, preferably at Honours level, but lesser qualifications, including substantial relevant work experience, will be considered.
