Entry Requirements

For direct access to the Global MBA, you will need the following:

  • Academic requirements: a First- or Second-Class bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent professional award).
  • Work experience: three years’ relevant work experience in a managerial or professional role (attained within the last five years).

If you meet only one of these requirements, you can apply to join the programme via a second route.

Under this route (Entry Route 2), you complete our MBA Preparation Course (about 125 hours of study), complete your registration, and then take two set core modules before progressing to the main programme.

Module Details

The Master of Business Administration is a 180 credit degree programme. For the MBA, you must complete:

  • six core modules (90 credits total)
  • four optional modules (60 credits total)
  • a Strategic Project (30 credits).

Master of Business Administration with a specialism

To achieve an MBA with a specialism, at least three of your four optional modules and your Strategic Project must be in the same specialism. The following specialisms are available:

  • Accountancy
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Finance
  • Law
  • Leadership.

Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration

The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration is a 120 credit award. For this award you must complete:

  • any four core modules (60 credits total)
  • any four other modules (either further core or optional modules) (60 credits total).

To achieve a specialist Postgraduate Diploma, you will need to complete a minimum of three optional modules from within the same specialism. The specialist areas are listed above.

Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration

The Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration is a 60 credit award. For this award, you must complete:

  • any two core modules (30 credits total)
  • any two other modules (either further core or optional modules) (30 credits total).

A Postgraduate Certificate in one of the specialist areas listed above is not available.
