Designed in line with ESRC guidelines, the Management MRes offers a solid foundation for doctoral studies in management. The programme combines in-depth study of a specialist management topic of your choice and applied training in management research methods. It provides an integrated ESRC pathway into your management PhD.
2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in a Business related discipline with at least 25% credit bearing modules in Business and/or Management at an average grade of pass.
By the end of the programme you will have the knowledge and skills that will equip you to undertake independent research at the frontier of the management field. This will enable you to pursue further PhD research or to take up employment in policy or practice that relies on management research. Graduates can pursue careers in management, including local and national government, business, and industry. Possible professions include management consultant, analyst or research project manager. The vast majority of our graduates have continued onto a PhD in management. We have a dedicated careers and employability team who provide 1-2-1 support and advice, group workshops, employer events on campus and networking opportunities throughout the year to help you with your careers prospects.
