Masters Degree Description

With marine ecosystems under increasing pressure, the need for innovative solutions has never been greater. This Masters in Marine & Coastal Management equips you to explore the environmental, social, and economic forces shaping coastal regions, and to develop practical strategies for sustainable conservation through a whole systems approach.

Entry Requirements

2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in Marine, Maritime, Social Science, Natural Science, Coastal Science, Coastal Tourism, Water Management, Environmental and/or Sustainability degrees.

We may sometimes accept degrees at 2.2 Hons or non-UK equivalent.

We may also accept applicants with significant relevant work experience in addition to lower qualifications.

Student Destinations

This programme will produce graduates who have a deep understanding of the competing and often conflicting uses of coastal resources and environment, and sustainable solutions to these issues. Graduates can work for NGOs and national or international marine and coastal organisations, with roles such as:
