Lead sustainable change through research and professional accreditation. This MRes in Management and Sustainability is for professionals who want to tackle real sustainability challenges and influence responsible business practice.
Unlike a taught master’s, you'll focus on independent research supported by an academic supervisor. You’ll design and lead a project based on your organisation or sector.
You’ll gain expertise in sustainable strategy, responsible management, and systems thinking. You'll also develop strong research and analytical skills. Your findings will translate into actionable recommendations that shape ethical and sustainable decisions.
The programme is accredited by the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP). https://www.isepglobal.org/. This means you'll graduate with an MRes and a professional sustainability certification at no extra cost.
Applicants would normally have a first degree at an Honours level classification 2:2 or above or a Post Graduate Diploma (or equivalent)
Candidates with professional qualifications and/or work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be asked to attend a 45-minute interview to discuss their background and interest in the course
For students for whom English is not their first language, a score of at least 6.5 on IELTS or equivalent. For the block delivery, a score of at least 6.5 IELTS or English as a medium of instruction or English as first language in the workplace is required
Applicants are required to provide a research proposal in report format that focuses on a topic that both interests you and is connected in some way to your programme of study.
