Study MSc in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the University of Edinburgh. Our postgraduate degree programme provides you with essential language teaching skills to teach English Language to any student.
These entry requirements are for the 2026/27 academic year and requirements for future academic years may differ. Entry requirements for the 2027/28 academic year will be published on 1 July 2026.
A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in a relevant discipline. Previous teaching experience is not required.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you have received a Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA) from a Cambridge English Teaching Qualification centre within the last 5 years, you may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and exemption from the following two core modules in semester 1:
