The LPC is the vocational stage of the route to qualifying as a solicitor and prepares students through practical assessment for the legal profession. Students learn how to apply academic aspects of law into real life scenarios. The Masters degree in Legal Practice covers the requirement of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) route to becoming a solicitor and in addition, you can specialise in an area of interest through research and a dissertation.
The LLM Top-Up is for students who have the Legal Practice PgDip qualification and would like to complete the extra credits of the masters stage to gain an LLM.
You will study the course online and part time over a year, completing two modules: a research module and a dissertation.
This course is designed for graduates of the Legal Practice Course. On completion of the PGDip (LPC), you will have been awarded 120 credits at level 7. This will enable you to complete the LLM Top-Up and gain a Masters qualification.
