Study Details: MSc: 12 months full-time
Over recent years the role accounting professionals play in business decisions has become increasingly important to the success of any organisation. As a qualified accountant, this course will allow you to refresh your technical skills and develop new ways of thinking about current issues in both management and financial accounting.
You will examine the latest techniques being used in industry, looking at real life case studies and comparing these to the practices used within your own workplace. Working with fellow students, you will also look at the growing importance of financial reporting,discussing accounting standards and how these could be developed to improve your own organisation’s fiscal statements.
You will complete a thesis or dissertation as your final assignment. This is an opportunity to combine all the skills you have learnt in one piece of work, based on something which is relevant to your current role.
