Course Description

This programme will give you the skills and knowledge you’ll need to run an airport safely whilst satisfying environmental and economic goals. You’ll also learn about other areas of airport management including human resources, regulation and crisis management, giving you all the skills you need to transform your career.

Your course has been designed to give you a sound understanding for the national and international regulatory and commercial business environment.

On this Airport Management Master’s degree, you will develop your knowledge of the complex disciplines and various technical, operational and financial pressures impacting airport management.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be employed in the aviation industry for at least two years to be considered for this programme. You will normally require a professional licence, for example an Air Transport Pilot’s Licence, Aircraft Engineer Licence, Air Traffic Controller Licence or similar. However, applicants with Bachelor’s degrees in an aviation related subject (aeronautical engineering, aviation management or similar) will also be considered. For example:

  • ACI Airport Finance Diploma
  • ACI Airport Security Diploma
  • ACI Global Safety Network Gold Diploma
  • Air Transport Pilot’s Licence
  • Aircraft Engineer Licence
  • Air Traffic Controller Licence or similar.

The mandatory Induction Workshop to our MSc programmes must be passed and will assess the English capability and writing skills required for the MSc programme. Students must successfully pass the Induction Workshop before commencing with the MSc programme. The Induction Workshop is a short course offered every three months, which means you can apply to the MSc Airport Management at any point during the year.
