The MBA (Hospital and Health Services Management) with Data Analytics is a full time 24 month programme course aimed at building a solid foundation in analysing healthcare data and healthcare informatics as well as managing healthcare organisations. This programme is ideally suited to the needs of future health data scientists, enabling them to perform analyses and develop novel tools and methods for healthcare context.
It is aimed at students with diverse backgrounds from biomedical/medical domains, including clinical trainees, as well as Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics to conduct their own analyses, and also to create the next generation of cutting-edge health data scientists who will be able to develop new tools and methods matching the latest technological advancements.
The programme is also suitable for working healthcare professionals (health care providers: physicians, surgeons, nurses, allied health, research positions in hospitals etc. as well as those working in the health care industry: insurance, medicine, insurance etc.) to provide them with a thorough understanding of the modern healthcare management and leadership skills whist equipping with strong information and data analytics skills.
Data Analytics Units cover a wide range of contextualised topics in healthcare informatics including programming, databases, security, project management and computer networking giving you both the underpinning theory and the ability to apply it to complex healthcare management challenges as well as an awareness of emerging technologies and developments. You will graduate prepared to pursue further study at doctoral level, become an expert data analyst in healthcare industry, and join large data companies. Using data analytics skills, gained from this course, you will support the application and strategic management of healthcare settings.
