Course Description

This programme is part of a graduate and post-graduate suite of courses which aims to develop your conceptual understanding of the principles and processes of communication and change affecting individuals, groups or organisations within the agri-food and rural business sectors, through an active and innovative approach to learning and teaching. You will complete your course at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), Loughry Campus, Cookstown. Upon completing the Graduate Certificate in Business Communication for Rural Enterprise, you will have the opportunity to progress onto our Post-Graduate Certificate for Business in Agri-food and Rural Enterprise (BAFRE) course which then leads onto our PG Diploma. Upon the successful completion of the PG Diploma you can then progress onto the BAFRE Master’s programme. All courses are delivered at CAFRE, Loughry Campus.

Entry Requirements

GraduateA degree or Higher National Diploma, or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University, in any discipline.

Applicants who do not meet the above academic requirements will be required to demonstrate relevant experience in the rural, agricultural or food sector. They must also hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above. A reference from a current or recent employer will be required.

Applicants undertaking the final year of their undergraduate degree will be considered for part time study only.

Applicants are advised to apply as early as possible and ideally no later than 31st July 2022 for courses which commence in late September.
