MRes Creative Practices

  • DeadlineStudy Details:

    MRes: 12 months full-time, 24 months part-time

Course Description

The Master of Research in Creative Practices at GSA aspires to produce highly individual researchers who are able to integrate the rigorous traditions of academic research with the autonomy of creative practices. In a multi disciplinary and culturally conscious environment, students are encouraged to examine the place of academic enquiry and the many forms of creative expression in the wider context of social, historical and theoretical discourse.

The programme enjoys links with the expertise of the Archives and Collections Centre sited within the Mackintosh Building, and we are developing links with museums and other centres of professional research and cultural practice. We welcome students who seek an intellectually open environment that encourages flexible, critical and creative thinking.

Entry Requirements

All applicants should normally have a good honours degree in a relevant subject area or equivalent professional experience, to be agreed at the discretion of programme staff following GSA guidelines.
