Applicants should normally hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum second class honours, or equivalent, in an area broadly related to early childhood. Those with a degree in a different area but with significant experience of working in early childhood settings will also be considered, as will those holding a PGCE.

The programme is modular in structure, with the complete MA programme of study consisting of six taught modules worth 120 credit points and a Dissertation worth 60 credit points. Students may exit the programme with a Postgraduate Certificate in Early Childhood if they achieve 60 credit points or a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood if they receive 120 credit points.
