MA Gender and Development

Course Description

You’ll gain a solid understanding of debates in feminist thinking, and link them to gendered policy and programming. You’ll develop in-depth knowledge for gendered analysis using an intersectional lens on issues such as:

  • women’s economic and political empowerment
  • political economy, environment and feminist mobilisation for social justice
  • sexuality, masculinity and disability.

Entry Requirements

You should normally have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above.

Your qualification should be in the social sciences or a related subject area. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
