An effective supply chain goes beyond the successful input and output of goods and services. With the right management, a supply chain has the power to influence entire business processes, create value and unite multiple organisations from all over the world. This complex discipline, with elements of IT, logistics and procurement, is increasingly important in today’s globalised environment of interconnected networks.
In recent decades, organisations have become increasingly reliant on effective supply chains in order to compete in the global market. This course equips you with a global view of the strategic and operational processes you need to manage the key functions of these supply chain processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management and production planning. We combine advanced theory teaching with practical skills training in well-known software such as SAP®and Arena® to give you a core understanding of the contemporary issues and programs used in global supply chain management.
We welcome a 2:2 honours degree or above in an appropriate subject, or an equivalent qualification.Those without formal need to demonstrate relevant work experience and the ability to study at postgraduate level.EligibilityUK/EU and international students are eligible to apply for this course.Academic credit for previous study or experienceIf you have relevant or work experience, academic credit may be awarded towards your Middlesex University programme of study. Some of the roles our graduates have gone on to work in include purchasing manager, vendor managed inventory coordinator, production manager, international logistics manager, inventory control manager and warehouse operations manager while others have gone on to start their own businesses.
Our students have gained employment in business roles in prestigious organisations including: SIXT, Moss Bros, NHS, Danone, Getir, Hexaware Technologies, UK Ministry of Defence, Sainsbury’s, EL&N, P&G, Johnson Controls, UNIQLO, UK Civil service, Benson for Beds, Co-Op, Perrin & Rowe and Circle Health group. Some students continue their studies by embarking on a PhD.
