This unique part-time programme aims to transform the care experience and quality of life of people with dementia. The goal is to achieve better awareness, early diagnosis and high quality treatment at every stage and in every setting within dementia services. By the end of the programme, you will be able to: Recognise the key characteristics of dementia including the early signs and appreciate the association with other medical conditions and/or changes to the person’s general circumstances; Provide effective support for family members and other carers; Demonstrate knowledge of person-centred care and communicate sensitively to support meaningful interaction; Challenge inappropriate or poor care
Applicants must have: an undergraduate degree OR must be able to show evidence of ability to study at Master’s level OR a relevant professional background. A minimum IELTS overall band score of 7.0 is required with a minimum of 7.0 in all components if a non-native English speaker.
