Course Description

100 year history

Help us build on LSBU’s rich history in engineering, which we’ve been teaching for over 100 years. This broad-based course will deepen your understanding of core mechanical engineering disciplines, as well as developing the research and business skills demanded by the industry.

We offer sophisticated facilities, including a virtual reality suite and advanced CAD-CAM capability. Laboratories are well equipped for experimentation in solids, solid-mechanics and thermofluids. In addition to structured sessions, you’ll be able to take full advantage of our facilities for your major project.

In order to be considered for entry to the course, applicants will be required to have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor degree equivalent to UK Second Class Honours Lower Division in Mechanical Engineering; or
