The course suits students who have previously studied film, literature or media-based subjects who want to develop their analytical skills to understand the economic and political context of the industries in which they seek to pursue their careers; it also suits economics graduates who are seeking to pursue a career path from a business aspect of the media to develop a sound understanding of the media environment.
A 2:2 Honours degree or equivalent in Economics or a related Social Science; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum 6.0 in all skills), or equivalent; where a visa for study is required, UK Borders Agency minimum English requirements must be met.
