MSc Medical Ultrasound

  • DeadlineStudy Details:

    MSc Part Time: 3 years

Course Description

Ultrasound plays a significant role in modern medical practice and has the ability to make a real difference to patient care. Whether you’re working in diagnostic radiology, midwifery or are a clinician directly seeing patients, we can give you the very best ultrasound education and equip you with the skills you need.

Whatever your background, experience and level we can help; from the principles and practice of ultrasound to undertaking cutting edge research. We have evolved to be one of the largest and most innovative postgraduate ultrasound training programmes in the UK. In addition to teaching at our state-of-the-art facility at our Darlington campus, we continue to embrace popular and innovative teaching methods via our online resources and regular webinars; this is why we have successfully taught students from many regions, including the UK, Europe and further afield. Whether you want to enrol and complete the three years of our part-time MSc Medical Ultrasound in one sitting, or enrol for individual years (Pg Cert, and PgDip), at a time that suits you – do it your way.

The first year of this Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE) accredited course enables healthcare professionals from varying clinical backgrounds to become safe, competent ultrasound practitioners. The second year allows you to increase your clinical leadership and research knowledge. The third allows you to become an authentic leader in the field of medical ultrasound by providing you with an opportunity to design and manage a major research project
