Course Description

Our programme equips you for a career in sport and exercise physiology. You will be provided with advanced knowledge based on the latest research in the theory and practice of a range of different areas in sport and exercise physiology, for the benefit of performance and health.
 
This inspiring degree offers a thorough theoretical, conceptual and practical grounding in the discipline. You will gain a detailed understanding of the science of sports and exercise with the focus on applied physiology. Among other things,  you will study a wide variety of physiological assessment techniques, nutritional aspects of sport and exercise performance, and the physiological characteristics of the neuromuscular system with application to sport and injury. 

Entry Requirements

Applications are invited from those who have an 2:1 honours degree classification (or above) in sport science/studies or physiology with a strong research methods element.

You are usually expected to hold a good second-class honours degree (or above) from an approved university or college in the UK, or a recognised degree from abroad. Advice on recognition may be obtained from the Admissions Manager. Non-graduates with appropriate professional or other qualifications may be accepted on an individual basis by course conveners. The level of English required is ACADEMIC IELTS at 6.5 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band.
