Course Description

The MSc Accounting (ACCA) is designed for professionals working in the business, accountancy and finance sectors. The programme is designed to enable students to develop their understanding of the principles and practice of accounting and financial management, the context in which they operate and how they are managed. They will learn the applied skills involved in financial reporting and financial management as well as wider management issues such as corporate and social responsibility, risk & business strategy, financial performance and taxation and auditing. The course includes a module on research methods that will support their learning by providing an understanding of a range of research tools and analytical techniques, as well as enhancing critical and investigative skills which can be applied in your professional practice

Entry Requirements

UK honours degree or its international equivalent (at least Lower Second Class) or professional qualification deemed to be honours degree (2/2) equivalent.

In order to be eligible to sit the external ACCA Professional Level Examinations, students must already hold ACCA papers F1 to F9.

Student Destinations

Students successfully completing the external ACCA examinations will become ACCA ‘exam complete’ and will only require to complete their Practical Work Experience to become fully qualified chartered accountants.
