PG Cert Early Years with EYTS

Course Description

Designed for professionals working in an early years setting, this course will enable you to become a specialist in early childhood development while gaining Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) and a recognised qualification in early years.

With endorsement from the government, this course recognises practitioners who have the skills needed to lead high-quality early years practice. The course takes a strong practical focus and is designed to be studied alongside work within an early years setting, enabling you to continue with your current employment while you study. If you do not currently have a role in an early years setting, we will support you to find a suitable placement.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must satisfy all three of the following requirements:

  1. an honours degree or equivalent
  2. successful completion of the literacy and numeracy professional skills test
  3. employment in the early years sector. The University of Gloucestershire can assist with finding suitable placements 
In addition, graduates need to have at least grade C GCSE in mathematics, English and science, or equivalent.
 
EU and international students need IELTS 6.5 overall (no less than 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in any other band) or equivalent

Fees

The course is completely funded, including £7,000 for your employer or placement provider, enabling them to release you for 10% of the time and fund supply cover.
