LLM Executive

Minimum requirements to be considered for the Executive LLM

Ideally, candidates will have at least six years’ practice experience and a 2:1 honours (i.e. overall average of at least 65%) or international equivalent. A Master’s degree is also preferable, though not essential. 

Part time UK fees: LLM – £30,000 (2017/18*) or PG Dip – £24,000 (2017/18*) Part time overseas fees: LLM – £30,000 (2017/18*) or PG Dip – £24,000 (2017/18*) *These tuition fees may be subject to additional increases in subsequent years of study, in line with King’s terms and conditions.

The course is designed to help participants to take their career to the next level, both in terms of their knowledge, their ability to see problems from others’ perspectives and by helping them to build their network. In the words of Dr Mark Ellis, Executive Director of the International Bar Association, this course is designed to bring together the brightest lawyers in law firms, in-house and in regulators and competition authorities throughout the world. • Advanced Law I (students will select from one of the following 15 credit modules):

Advanced Competition Law I

Advanced Financial Law I

Advanced International Dispute Resolution I

• Transnational Law: Lawyering in a Global Context (15 credits)
• Sectoral Case Study on Energy and Resources, Technology Based Enterprise, Major Projects or Healthcare and Life Sciences (30 credits)
• Advanced Skills: Negotiation & Leadership (15 credits)

Optional Modules

All students are required to select one optional module from the following list:

• Risk: Communication and Management (15 credits)
• Decision-Making (15 credits)
• Global Business Ethics (15 credits)
