We offer a broad choice of professional, internationally recognised postgraduate qualifications incorporating taught degreesresearch degrees and professional doctorates. Our courses are available in flexible full-time and part-time study options.

We recognise that some students already have proven academic or work-based experience, and we have processes in place that may be able to help you to claim credit for prior learning.

Our postgraduate learning and research facilities are located on our five Chester sites: Parkgate Road CampusRiverside CampusKingsway Campus,Queen’s Park Campus and Thornton Science Park, as well as our Warrington Campus and University Centre Shrewsbury.

Postgraduate Taught Courses

We offer an extensive range of taught courses across our specialist sites, and beyond to work with selected partners around the world.

Qualifications available with us include PG Certificate, PG Diploma, MA, MSc, MBA, LLM, MEd, MPH and PGCEs. For many of our courses there are flexible study options, helping you to achieve your postgraduate qualification around existing work or family commitments.

You can study postgraduate courses in a wide range of subject areas within our faculties of Arts and Humanities; Business and Management; Education and Children’s Services; Health and Social Care; Medicine; Dentistry and Life Sciences; Science and Engineering; and Social Science.

Postgraduate Open Days and Evenings

We have a Postgraduate Open Day in June for courses at our Chester campuses, and an Open Evening in June for those at our Warrington Campus

Postgraduate Information Events

Held at our Parkgate Road Campus you will have the chance to speak to staff about courses based at each of our Chester sites. You will be able to take a tour of the Campus, and find out about postgraduate issues including the application process, fees and funding and support available to you as a University of Chester postgraduate student.

Postgraduate Department Visits

Throughout the year we hold various department-specific postgraduate events. Whether it’s a Taster Day or Open Evening you will have the opportunity to visit the department and find out about their postgraduate courses.

You have three payment options for paying your tuition fees:

  1. In full by debit or credit card before the start of your first module
  2. Direct Debits over 9 monthly instalments
  3. By a sponsor
