The State Scholarships Foundation-ΙKY

The State Scholarships Foundation-ΙKY, founded in 1951, has a long history in contributing to the promotion of Education, Sciences, Arts, Languages and Hellenic Civilization. In the framework of its activities, IKY plans and implements annually thirty scholarships programmes both in Greece and abroad. Recipients of these fellowships-grants are Greeks, Nationals of Greek origin and Foreigners, ranging from schoolchildren to senior researchers, scientists and artists, wishing to obtain further qualifications in Greece or abroad and to gain academic and professional distinctions. Over the past 63 years, tens of thousands of fellows were funded by IKY for their education and studies. For more than 25 years (since 1987), IKY has assumed the responsibility for the administration, implementation and dissemination of the European Educational Programmes.
