Course Description

If you are a practising registered healthcare professional ready to take your career to the next level then this part-time three-year course will give you the skills to become an advanced practitioner who can lead innovate and improve healthcare across a wide range of settings.

This Master’s course covers all areas of your practice and uses your current work and development needs to build on your existing skills and experience. You study key areas such as understanding advanced practice in today’s profession; exploring the opportunities of the workplace and how advanced practitioners challenge and lead change; and developing specialist expertise as an independent learner.

To be eligible for this course you must be registered with the NMC or HCPC and working as a healthcare professional in your chosen discipline (and remain so for the duration of the course).

Entry Requirements

It is anticipated that the potential candidates will be:

  • Be a registered healthcare professional on the NMC register;
  • Must have had a minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience.
  • Have a degree (grade 2:2 or higher) or equivalent professional experience;
  • Applicants will attend an interview with the course team prior to acceptance on the course
  • It is essential that students remain in practice throughout this course and can provide a signed letter of support from their employer confirming that they can provide the skills development and support required for this course, with the offer of an ACP role at the end of the course.
