Course Description

Led by Professor Beverly Snaith and Professor Maryann Hardy, both of who have national and international profiles related to advanced practice and radiographer reporting, the Medical Image Reporting programme has been revised, updated and expanded to align with expectations of the Health Education England Advanced Clinical Practice Framework.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Image Reporting embraces an interactive approach to developing high-level image interpretation and reporting skills alongside the person, communication and decision-making skills necessary as a Reporting Radiographer. Choose from either Musculoskeletal or Chest and Abdomen reporting of conventional radiographs.

Entry Requirements

This part-time pathway of study is targeted towards radiographers and other health care professionals who are extending or intend to extend their scope of practice into medical image reporting.

To be eligible for admission to this pathway you must be a registered health care practitioner in employment with possession of a BSc Hons in Diagnostic Radiography or appropriate professional qualification.

Applicants must have managerial support for their studies, including a commitment that appropriate facilities, relevant clinical experience and time will be made available to support their studies (15 hours a week) and a suitably qualified mentor.
