Course Description

Have you qualified as an accountant with the professional bodies within the last five years (or have additional relevant experience) and want to advance your career with a Masters qualification?

This 4 month course* promotes integration between professional practice and theory, and the credits from your prior learning as a qualified accountant can fast-track you onto our MSc in Professional Accounting.

The programme entails completion of a module in Research Skills, which will prepare you for an independent project. This module is available on-line and does not therefore require in-person contact on campus.

Offering further flexibility, our MSc Professional Accounting offers two entry points in each academic year.

With our MSc Professional Accounting you will draw on local, regional and national associations and networks and the breadth of research, teaching and practical expertise within our teaching team will enrich your professional development.

*Please note: this course is not eligible for CAS sponsorship under the Student immigration route. International students who do not already have an immigration status that permits them to study in the UK, will be supported to come to the UK as a Standard Visitor (Study).

Entry Requirements

Students will have the equivalent of 120 credits of prior learning, ie: qualified as an accountant with recognised professional bodies* within the last five years.
*Students will be required to have passed all the ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA and other professional accountancy bodies’ external examinations.
