With urban areas expanding every day, sustainable development has never been more important. Our course has been designed to help you tackle the housing, regeneration and management issues that face leading professionals in this field.
You will examine different interpretations of sustainable development, exploring neighbourhood planning and community engagement, and providing you with the knowledge to plan and deliver your own programmes of urban management.
You will develop the leadership skills required to facilitate change, deliver local services and protect community assets. Our teaching team will use their industry experience to help you examine the theories behind leadership and management, explaining how they can be practically applied to social enterprise and public policy innovation.
Focussing on vocational training, our course enables you to engage with experienced members of the industry on client-based projects, enhancing your experience and expanding your network of contacts.
Requirements:Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subject of Housing, Health, Geography, Planning, Social Sciences or a professionally orientated subject of Teaching, Environmental Health or Community Work or similarly related subject; or at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject with knowledge of housing, or significant practical work experience
